Located on the 27th floor of the Cosmopolitan Building in Portland, OR the commanding views set the scene for the vision of this penthouse. Intended to compliment but not compete with the views, Kaemingk Design wanted this home to act as an extension of its surroundings in the sky. A blend of warm neutrals, natural materials and textures were brought in to add soul to the home while maintaining a minimal and modern aesthetic. Local artists and craftsmen were called upon to create one of a kind pieces throughout the home to help each space gain its individual identity while maintaining cohesion in the design as a whole. The end result is a home that feels like a breath of fresh air upon entering and while minimal, it maintains it's comfortable and inviting atmosphere to enjoy the surrounding views.
