ER Residence is located in north London, designed by the fresh design firm Studio Hallet Ike that was founded in 2018. One of the primary goals of the project was creating a designed home that could accommodate a young family without requiring an infeasible budget. This manner of the firm eliminates any bias since there is a prejudice that a quality design needs a lot of money yet, they show that a good design can be affordable. It only requires a good eye that can make the right touches. The first switch of the design was adding a new room to the single room residence because of the target group of the design. The added room is being used both as studying and dining room. Clean lines and white walls with such minimalistic approach provide a simple, modern and modest look. Skylight detail on each part of the house that brings the daylight in and creates the connection between spaces. The color and material pallets have been preferred and designed in a way that reflecting the natural light; spaces acquire warm color tones during sunny days but it turns into colder silver tones during muggy weathers. Fluid connection that comprise all of the house has been created via fir wood but also using the same grey terazzo both in bathroom and kitchen keep the integrity as well. ER Residence by Studio Hallet Ike is already not their only design in London considering they are a fresh firm but it is certain that their manner and aesthetic approach will bring them nothing but greater achievements.
