Decription from the architect - "In this project we wanted to reflect the values of lafincaroja. We believe in design designed to last. We run away from the trend of an ephemeral and unimportant nature. For us, design is lived naturally and without pretense. We want to approach him with sobriety and quality, for people who value him without fanfare. When it comes to approaching the project, our intention is to make something good out of bad, and better something out of good. We find a 175m2 apartment with one of the most beautiful views of Valencia and a very long morphology. The approach is to keep the noble area of the house open to the views and natural light that enters from the main facade. The living room, dining room and office are joined to the open kitchen that can be converted into a private one with sliding wooden panels. A generous space, spacious and naturally lit, with views towards the park. The almost obligatory distribution of the house forms a long corridor to access the rooms. We take the opportunity to be creative and change the atmosphere in that transition from day to night. The path is made interesting by creating new ways to illuminate, smooth the floor, panel walls, and discover concrete pillars. The hallway is now a room itself, not a residual area. Its monochromaticism in soft tones, created by the materials and the lighting, generates a surprising sensation of calmness. The materiality is summarized in a few elements: wood, porcelain, concrete and fabrics. All of them united in the two colors of the project: beige and black. We rely on the contrast of the two colors, being strict to achieve monochrome planes and not corrupt them. The use of lighting is our best resource to extol and take advantage of materials."
